Brace yourself Amazon Prime members. One-day shipping has finally come to the Sarasota-Bradenton region.
Shoppers who pay the $99 annual fee for Amazon Prime can now choose from more than two million items eligible for the new service. These products are identified by the company’s “Prime FREE One-Day” logo or by using a filter in the search feature.
So whether you want a fancy ice cube tray or a copy of an R.L. Stine Goosebumps book you can have those and most other things you can think of by this time tomorrow.
Amazon now offers Prime one-day shipping to more than 3,500 cities and towns across Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Oklahoma, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
Another 50 million items are available for two-day shipping across all product categories.
Members in 30 major cities (surprise, Sarasota isn’t one of them) are also eligible for two-hour free shipping through the Prime Now service on tens of thousands of items on orders of $25.
But hey, with Amazon fortifying its Florida empire with four fulfillment centers, two sortation centers as well as Prime Now hubs in Miami, Tampa and Orlando — it’s probably only a matter of time.
