The first wave of artists for the second annual Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival has been released.
A diverse blend of multi-genre performers, including Kings of Leon, Usher & The Roots, Bassnectar, The Lumineers, Flume, Wiz Khalifa, Pretty Lights, Solange, Rae Sremmurd, Young The Giant, Porter Robinson (Live), Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals are slated for the March 2-5, 2017, OkeeFest.
“We are excited to build upon the success of OMF 16,” Soundslinger CEO Kevin Collinsworth said in a news release. “This year’s lineup is great and we have more surprises to come. We are opening up more of our amazing property for people to explore, and continuing to invest in art and the overall festival experience. Can’t wait to open the doors on March 2nd!”

Collinsworth, a native Floridian, was one of three new members of OkeeFest’s leadership team following the sudden departure of festival co-founders, former Soundslinger, LLC CEO Steve Sybesma, and Cliff Rosen quit citing “philosophical differences,” according to reports.
Sybesma and Rosen who founded Soundslinger in 2014, quit on Oct. 18, 2016.
Their departure is not expected to affect next year’s festival.
John Conk, who is no stranger to festivals having worked on Bannaroo & Electric Forest, will serve as Soundslinger Head of Operations, while Steve Lemon was named Soundslinger’s production manager.
A limited quantity of early bird tickets are on sale now. The event features musical collaborations, crazy food, wild art, yoga & other feel-good workshops, swimming and dancing.
The event is being held at Sunshine Grove.
