It’s a going to be a beautiful weekend here so you might as well get out and about and enjoy it. Whether you’re looking to sip on over 100 different types of wine or looking to see amazing art be done with chalk or in the sand, you’re going to be in luck.

Wine time!

Looking to sample more rhan 100 wines and food from local area restaurants? Then you should hit up the Suncoast Food & Wine Fest on Saturday out at the Sarasota Polo Grounds. The ticket is a bit more expensive than the average event we usually post about ($80) but it includes everything. Plus proceeds help the Rotary Club of Lakewood Ranch and other local charities.

Final call for film fest!

If you haven’t been over to Burns Court Cinemas to take part in Cine-World Film Festival this weekend is your last chance. There are still plenty of great films to see and it is always fun to see a film at Burns Court.

If you didn’t get to it last weekend you should head on over to the Sarasota Fairgrounds and have some fun at the Sarasota Medieval Fair. Wacky acts, turkey legs, jousting and human chess – what more could you want?

Chalk Dirty To Me!

The Sarasota Chalk Festival is happening down at the Venice Airport Festival Fairgrounds this weekend. The theme this year is “Love and Peace” and one of the pieces involves an actual “Chapel of Love” where people can even get married! How cool is that?

Mister Sandman!

The ever popular Siesta Key Crystal Classic is here this weekend and will feature sand sculptors from across the globe doing magical things with their hands and our beautiful sand. This is the seventh year that this event has been going on and every year it just gets better and better. So make a day of it and go see the artists make amazing creations and then enjoy a day at the beach with your family and friends.
