Gas prices at the pump are falling, and we should see another 12-15 cent dip in the coming weeks.
Crude oil prices are at a 12-year low, and decreased demand for gasoline in the winter is only pushing retail prices down further.
The cost at the pump on Thursday averaged $1.89 in Sarasota County and $1.82 in Manatee County with some gas stations in the Bradenton area hitting as low as $1.69.
AAA anticipates the Florida’s average, which was $1.87 Thursday, could hit as low as $1.74 by the end of the month.
The association also reported earlier this week that retail gasoline averages fell for 63 days in 74-day period, for a total savings of 34 cents per gallon.
