Welcome to another episode of Derek Chats!
Derek is climbing a stool in my office.
Me: “Derek, be careful, please.”
Derek: “Careful is my middle name.”
Me: “Oh, my God. Where did you learn that?”
Derek: “It really is my middle name.”
Drove by the garage where I purchased a new tire. Pointed it out to Derek.
Derek: “Why did you need a new tire?”
Me: “The other one was falling apart.”
Derek: (coughs) “I’m falling apart, too.”
Derek: “Mommy’s daddy is named Rich.”
Me: “That’s right. But you have to call him grandpa.”
Derek: “Why is his name Rich?”
Me: “Because his mommy and daddy named him Rich, just like we named you Derek.”
Derek: “Yeah, but I am Derek. I talk like Derek, I laugh like Derek…”
