SARASOTA — The next Art, Rhymes & Beer is all about love, well, and BBQ, live art, and sounds by performers Ocean Symphony and Katrina Lilly.
ARB is going into its second season and has three events scheduled in 2017, including the Saturday, Feb. 25 “Love Party.”
The event is for a good cause, and it’s free. It will benefit the National Alliance to End Homelessness.
“The most important about all these ARBs is they are free for entry,” co-founder and artist Ryan “Ryanito” Larranaga said. “I don’t believe we should charge for culture.”
The event is co-founded by Marcel Bauduin, also the co-host of Coffee and Donuts, created in partnership with Unravel.

The April 22 event features the releases of an album from “Ryanito,” as well as his signature beer. The show will include four artists.
“With the bigger shows (two-year anniversary on Sept. 23) we have 10 artists, 10 musicians, as many food trucks as we can fit and as many vendors as we can fit,” Larranaga said.
There is a charitable aspect attached to each one.
Saturday’s event will feature Michael Mendez, an R&B singer from the band Ocean Symphony, and Katrina Lilly, a soul singer, from Naples.
Big Top Brewery, the event host, will supply a third, rockabilly band, The Jewels.
(Organizer, and hip hop artist Ryanito, who has performed with Ocean Symphony in the past has hinted he might take the stage — which probably means he will).
“It’s hard to explain to people what you want to see in your community,” Ryan “Ryanito” Larranaga said about planning ARB events. “Sarasota — as much as they complain the millennials don’t have anything to do — well we created it.
“Every age bracket is welcome. The last ARB we had a 97-year-old lady there. She had no idea what we were talking about the music but she loved the art.”
Donations will be accepted to combat homelessness, as well as a silent auction and raffle.
Art, Rhymes & Beer’s “Love Party” is being held at 7 p.m. to midnight on Saturday, at Big Top Brewery.
