If you’re a fan of Sarasota, history, culture and scavenger hunts then Sarasota YPG and The Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce’s “Q Dash” will be right up your alley.
Announced officially today via press release and Facebook, the “Q Dash” will be taking place Saturday, April 22 throughout downtown Sarasota.
So what is it exactly? It’s about getting to know your city by hitting up local landmarks by solving clues with your team of four friends.
Event Co-Chair, Andrea Knies, says, “This event is a love note to the community where we live, work and play. Our hope is to expose individuals to parts of Sarasota they pass by all the time, and give them a newfound appreciation for it.”
Ready to sign up? Well you’ll have to wait to register until registration opens Monday, February 20. So what can you do in the mean time? Get your team of four (21 and older), start brushing up on your Sarasota history (don’t worry, Unravel will be helping out with weekly posts) and make sure you have at least one person on your team who knows how to use Twitter. Twitter will be the way that the competition will be monitored as the teams take photos at landmarks and check in at pit stops.
